▼ Grain

This is a type of processing applied to the leather surface, where special chemicals are used to shrink the surface of the leather, creating a three-dimensional effect.
The size and unevenness of the grain are not uniform depending on the animal species and body part, and there are no two identical grain patterns in terms of arrangement or size like in embossed shrink leather.
Even within a single piece of leather, a rich variety of grain patterns emerge.

▼ "Tora" (wrinkles) and "Chisuji" (blood vessels)

"Tora" are physical characteristics of animals that are reflected in natural leather.
If the raw hide has large wrinkles or sagging, differences in the unevenness of these wrinkles can lead to uneven dyeing, creating wrinkle-like patterns or leaving streaks. These are often seen in the shoulder area, where the skin stretches and contracts more, but they are not flaws or damage. They are appreciated as natural features that enrich the leather's expression.

Additionally, vein-like patterns on the grain side (leather surface) or flesh side (leather back) are called "chisuji" (blood vessels). These are traces of blood vessels left in the leather, and they are regarded and enjoyed as natural patterns unique to genuine leather.
Our genuine shrink processing creates natural grains, making these features less noticeable, and thus this material is favored by many customers.
